100 lower-income multi-child families will receive housing thanks to the support of the Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation under Balameken Project.
On May 31, 2019, Akim of the Kyzylorda region Krymbek Yeleuovich Kusherbayev and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation Almaz Toregeldiyevich Sharman handed in the keys to the low-income multi-child families residing in unsuitable housing facilities.
“To provide those families with housing, a memorandum with the Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation for construction of houses at the account of charitable support for 100 families was signed,” Krymbek Kusherov said.
It is necessary to note that the cost of 1 square meter of housing is 70 thousand Tenge. Construction of the houses was completed in 2 months on the threshold of the International Children’s Day.
“Jointly with the Akimat of the Kyzylorda region, we initiated Balameken Project, under which the Foundation allocated 450 mln Tenge for construction of residential houses for low-income multi-child families. We could not stay on the sidelines and decided to help people. The Project was implemented in record-breaking time, and we are glad that the summer holidays have started from new home for 100 Kyzylorda families,” Almaz Sharman, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation, noted.
Today, the number of citizens who are in need of housing in the region is 28 355 persons. Of them, 14 464 persons are on the waiting list in the vulnerable social group category, including 2246 multi-child families.
It should be noted that due to state support in the region, there is steady trend of housing construction development. So, during last 6 years, new builds delivered in the region increased 2,5 times, from 270.0 th sq.m. in 2013 to 720.8 th sq.m. in 2019. Over the years, only in Kyzylorda city 15 new microdistrict were built, 139 residential houses were put into operation, 6963 citizens of Kyzylorda city, mainly resided in the unfit buildings and dormitories, have already received new housing.
Moreover, at the region Akimat’s initiative, in 2017, ORDA regional road map was accepted, which was aimed at housing accessibility provisions for low-income and vulnerable social groups with guarantee contribution 500 thousand Tenge and without submission of 20% initial contribution.
In 2018, 14 multistory residential houses and 604 flats were constructed on the left bank of Kyzylorda city at the account of private developers at the lowest price in the country – 120 thousand Tenge per 1 sq.m.
To the end of 2019, in Kyzylorda city it is planned to complete construction of 53 apartment houses or 2628 flats, of which 588 flats are designated only for low-income multi-child families.
These houses will be located at one site of the left bank of the Syrdarya River that is convenient for engineering infrastructure provision.
