About the project Photos

Since 2018, the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation, in partnership with the Red Crescent Society of Kazakhstan and ForteBank, has been implementing the humanitarian project Aid Card. The initiative is aimed at providing swift and targeted support to people affected by natural and man-made disasters.

What is the Aid Card?

The Aid Card is a personalized ForteBank debit card used to deliver financial assistance to victims of disasters. Each affected family member receives 30,000 tenge directly to their card. This approach ensures rapid, transparent support and allows recipients to independently decide how best to use the funds based on their current needs.

Who has been helped?

Since its launch, the project has supported dozens of families across various regions of Kazakhstan:

  • 2019: Aid was provided to families in Shet District, the village of Pidzhim, and in the North Kazakhstan and Akmola regions, who suffered from spring floods.

  • City of Arys: For the first time, the project extended support to victims of a man-made disaster. All affected residents received Aid Cards loaded with funds from the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation.

  • Kostanay and North Kazakhstan regions: 197 families impacted by floods received over 33 million tenge in total. Beneficiaries included residents of the village of Karamyrza and suburban areas of Petropavlovsk.

  • USD 9.2 mln amount of allocated funds
  • 246 people received financial aid
  • 30 000 tenge per a family member
