Balameken

The Bulat Utemuratov Foundation initiated the Balameken project to provide housing to the country’s citizens in need.
The first new residents were multi-child families in Kyzylorda, where 75 duplex houses were built, 50 of which were financed by the Foundation. Each house is designed for two families, each of which has its own entrance and a plot of land of six ares.
After the tragedy in Arys, the Foundation decided to allocate funds for the construction of the Balameken microdistrict, consisting of 50 duplex houses. On November 13, 2019, new residents moved into fully finished houses with equipped kitchens and bathrooms. Housing was given to families who lost their homes as a result of explosions, multi-child families and families having children with disabilities.
In the Makhtaaral district of the Turkestan region, the Foundation built 150 houses for flood victims. New three-room houses with an area of 100 sq. m are located in the promising area of Myrzakent, where residents of the destroyed villages of Dostyk, Zhanaturmys and Zhenis have moved.
The Foundation also donated 40 apartments to families in Aralsk – multi-child families, orphans, people with disabilities, and families living in emergency houses. Three-room apartments with an area of 64 sq. m and two-room apartments with an area of 47 sq. m are located in one-story houses designed for four families. The houses have all the necessary utilities, bathroom equipment, gas stoves and water heaters. Each apartment owner was given a plot of land with an area of six ares.
