The Bulat Utemuratov Foundation continues to implement a large-scale project to support Kazakhstanis left homeless due to spring floods. In the course of the next stage of work the keys to apartments were handed over to 44 families from Aktobe and 43 families from Kokshetau.
In Aktobe the newcomers received two- and three-room apartments with the area from 65 to 95 square meters in finishing. Director of the Fund Marat Aitmagambetov noted that close coordination with the Akimat of Aktobe region was established to help the residents of the region.
“Our goal is to help people in difficult moments, to provide them with decent housing and conditions for returning to normal life after the natural disaster. We hope that the new owners will move into their apartments as soon as possible and settle down well there,” said Marat Aitmagambetov.
One of the apartment recipients, Yergon Okasov, whose house, located in Aktobe’s Kargaly residential area, was severely damaged by floods and could not be restored, said: “We like our new apartment very much. Thank you to all those who helped us in our time of need. May our country never again be touched by such a disaster”.
According to Marat Aitmagambetov, in the near future it is planned to purchase another 56 apartments for Aktobe residents left without housing. In addition, the construction of about 150 houses in Kobda district continues, which are planned to be handed over in August. By September 2024, the Fund plans to provide housing for more than 400 families of Aktobe region.
“Our priority is to provide housing for all residents of the region affected by floods. We thank Bulat Utemuratov Foundation for active assistance and support in the restoration of our region after the natural disaster”, – said the Akim of Aktobe region Askhat Shakharov.
The Fund also supports the residents of Akmola region, where RG Gold, a member of Bulat Utemuratov’s group, operates. At the expense of RG Gold Company 43 apartments were purchased and handed over to flood victims in Kokshetau. In the near future it is planned to purchase housing for another 24 families in the region.
It should be reminded that in general the group of companies allocated about 12.7 billion tenge to help flood victims: more than 10 billion tenge was allocated by the Charity Fund and another 1 billion tenge each was allocated by Kar-Tel and RG Gold.
