Asyl Miras Autism Center started working in Taraz
A new Asyl Miras autism center has opened in Taraz today to support children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Taraz has become the tenth city in Kazakhstan to have a network of Bulat Utemuratov Foundation autism centers. The center, opened in cooperation with the Akimat of Zhambyl region and located at 47 Askarova St., will be able to accommodate up to 300 children per year.

Thanks to the unique program of the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation “Autism. One World for all“ more than 11,000 children with ASD and their families received highly qualified assistance. The specialists of the centers are engaged in continuous study and implementation in Kazakhstan of the most effective global practices in providing assistance to children with autism. “The opening of a special center for children with ASD in Taraz will contribute to their better social integration. I would like to thank the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation for teaching our teachers advanced autism correction techniques that will improve the quality of life of children and adolescents with ASD living in our region,“ said Akim of Zhambyl region Berdibek Saparbayev.
syl Miras Centers operate under six intervention programs aimed at identifying ASD and eliminating deficiencies in social, speech, and household skills. Classes are conducted using technologies developed by international experts from the University of California and the Marcus Autism Center in Atlanta, USA. Each child undergoes a three-month training cycle according to an individually selected program. Children from 0 to 18 years old can enroll in the center based on the conclusion of the psychological, medical and pedagogical consultation (PMPC). Classes are free of charge. “For the seven years of its existence, the program “Autism. One World for all“ has proven its effectiveness. Children‘s skills improve by 2 times on average after completing the course. We are proud of each open center, because behind each new center there are real stories of thousands of Kazakhstani families, whose children have gained a chance for a more fulfilling and independent life,“ said Marat Aitmagambetov, director of the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation.
The Asyl Miras Center is a modern space, fully equipped and adapted to the educational needs of children with ASD. All classes are held with the involvement of parents, so the training is aimed not only at children, but also at the inner circle. “We have long heard about the effectiveness of programs at Asyl Miras, and we are glad that now our children will be able to receive help for free in their hometown. We have already met with the teachers and are looking forward to the start of classes,“ said Rashida Karimova, Chairman of the I am Special Foundation
