BURABIKE FEST SPORTS AND MUSIC FESTIVAL 2019 RECEIVED EVENTIADA IPRA GOLDEN WORLD AWARDS, A PRESTIGIOUS AWARD IN THE FIELD OF COMMUNICATION

The largest charitable event in Kazakhstan, annually held by the Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation, took the 2nd place in the Best Voluntary Project nomination

The results of Eventiada IPRA Golden World Awards, the largest award in the field of communications in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, a regional partner of the IPRA GWA award, a global competition held since 1990 by the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), were summed up in Moscow on November 12, 2019.
This year applications were received from 13 countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Croatia and Estonia. Winners in five blocks of nominations, winners of the Grand Prix contest and personal awards were announced at the award ceremony.
By a decision of the expert council, which includes the leading professionals from major international companies, universities, state organizations and the media, the largest charitable event in Kazakhstan, the Burabike Fest 2019, the Sports and Music Festival, took 2nd place in the Best Voluntary Project nomination.
“The VII Burabike Fest 2019, the Sports and Music Festival, has become a truly milestone event,” commented Marat Aitmagambetov, Director of the Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation. “This year the event was distinguished by an extended two-day program and broke records in the number of participants and the amount of charitable fees – 4 thousand persons and 300.2 million Tenge, respectively. We are proud that reputable experts highly praised our project and awarded us Eventiada IPRA Golden World Awards, the prestigious international prize in the field of communications. This is truly a great achievement and professional recognition.”
Burabike Fest Sports and Music Festival is a project that has no analogues in Kazakhstan and the Central Asia region. This year the event took place on August 24 and 25 in the Shchuchinsk-Borovoe resort area on the territory of the Rixos Borovoe hotel. The expanded program included unprofessional bicycle races 35 km and 70 km as well as 10 km bike ride, auctions, one-day Open Air, tennis tournament and concert arranged by the 31 Channel with the participation of Kazakhstan celebrities. For the first time, a tent camp was deployed in the territory of the Hotel, which brought the Burabike Fest 2019 closer to the format of the largest international open air festivals. The collected funds (registration fees of participants, proceeds from charitable auctions, contributions from benefactors and sponsors, proceeds from sale of branded sport outfit) are traditionally used to equip children’s hospitals, clinics and maternity hospitals with vital medical equipment in the regions of Kazakhstan. The beneficiaries of Burabike 2019 were Ana men Bala, the Regional Perinatal Center in Kyzylorda, the Yessil Central District Hospital (Akmola region), the Kyzylzhar District Hospital in Bishkul village (North Kazakhstan region), the Zhangaly District Hospital (West Kazakhstan region), the Almaty Regional Hospital of Taldykorgan, the District Hospital of Shelek village (Almaty region), Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedics (Nur-Sultan), Center of psychological and pedagogical correction “Autism. One World for All”, Petropavlovsk (North-Kazakhstan region).
Eventiada IPRA Golden World Awards is the largest award in the field of communications in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. It started with submission of applications for EVENTIADA, the All-Russian Student Competition of Event-Projects, in 2011. Since 2017, Eventiada has been the regional stage of the IPRA GWA Award, a global award held since 1990 by the International Public Relations Association (IPRA).
