Red Crescent of Kazakhstan Rendered Assistance to Persons Aggrieved from Floods
The Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation jointly with the Red Crescent of Kazakhstan and ForteBank rendered assistance to 62 families in Shetsky district of the Karaganda region to the amount of about 10 million Tenge. The persons aggrieved were issued the Help Cards of ForteBank to which the funds of the Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation were transferred in an amount of 30,000 Tenge per one family member.

The Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation jointly with the Red Crescent of Kazakhstan and ForteBank rendered assistance to 62 families in Shetsky district of the Karaganda region to the amount of about 10 million Tenge. The persons aggrieved were issued the Help Cards of ForteBank to which the funds of the Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation were transferred in an amount of 30,000 Tenge per one family member.
In total, 5 populated places of Shetsky district of the Karaganda region were in the area of flooding.
• Aksu-Ayuly village;
• Kyzylkoi village;
• Nura village;
• Krasnaya Polyana village;
• Burma village.
Employees of the Red Crescent assessed the situation and revealed the most aggrieved households among vulnerable population. It includes people whose houses were partially destructed, single pensioners, disabled people, single parent and multi-child low-income families. In total, assistance was rendered to over 300 persons to the total amount almost 10 million Tenge.
Issue of the Help Cards started on Thursday, April 18, 2019 in Aksu-Ayuly village. The local Akimat will submit vehicle for everybody who wish and do not have a possibility to go to the nearest settlements to purchase the goods of first priority.
These funds can help people to partially restore their property, replace the things damaged by the natural disaster, and purchase construction materials for housing restoration.
Currently, acceptance of applications from the citizens of the above mentioned settlements, assessment of the situation and needs of the persons aggrieved are in progress. Information about statistics of the rendered assistance may change.
