The Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation has presented houses to 100 families in Arys as part of the Balameken project

The Bulat Utemuratov’s Charitable Foundation has completed the construction of houses for 100 families in Arys as part of the Balameken project.

Bulat Utemuratov allocated about 850 million Tenge ($ 2.2 million) for the project implementation. Today, the ceremony of handing over the keys to new owners took place with the participation of Kosman Aitmukhametov, First Deputy Akim of the Turkestan region, Marat Aitmagambetov, Director of the Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation, and Yerlan Ospanov, General Director of Verny Capital Group of Companies.

50 duplex houses for two families with final finish, kitchen furniture, household appliances, a personal garden of 10 ares and complete public amenities have been built in the new microdistrict which will be called Balameken. The apartments are ready for immediate occupation.  The microdistrict is connected to urban infrastructure, asphalt roads and pedestrian sidewalks are laid, a children’s playground is installed, trees are planted on the land plots and along sidewalks.

The recipients of new houses are the families of Arys residents, whose houses were damaged by ammunition explosions in July this year, large low-income families, single-parent families, orphans and people with disabilities.

The project was the result of the successful cooperation of the Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation in partnership with the Verny Capital Group of Companies with the Akimat of the Turkestan region and Turkestan SEC.

“On behalf of Arys residents, I express my deep gratitude to the Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation and its founder for their contribution to the city restoration after the explosions at the ammunition depot,” said Kosman Aitmukhametov, First Deputy Akim of the Turkestan region, during the ceremony of keys handing over.

Zhanagul Pashayeva, one of the new settlers of the microdistrict, expressed the general opinion of those who will live here: “This is a good area, the city arboretum is not far from here. We like the project, we like the houses, we heartily thank the Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation and the Akimats of the Turkestan region and Arys city!”

“All Kazakhstan residents worried about the incident in Arys; many organizations and citizens of our country supported the city and its residents. We also decided to contribute to the city restoration. Therefore, the founder of our Foundation decided to expand and continue the Balameken project, aimed at building houses for Kazakhstan citizens in need of housing. The Project started in spring this year in Kyzylorda city, where the houses for 100 large low-income families were constructed at the account of money allocated by the Foundation. We successfully applied the gained experience in Arys, thus showing once again that the joint efforts of the state and benefactors provide a significant positive effect in the social sphere,” said Marat Aitmagambetov, Director of the Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation.

Yerlan Ospanov, General Director of Verny Capital Group of Companies, noted: “Our group cooperates and helps the Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation in the implementation of socially significant construction projects. We understood that the project should be implemented quickly and efficiently, so our contractors worked around the clock in close cooperation with the city and regional Akimats. And we are glad that we managed to complete it on time and Arys residents will settle in light and warm houses before winter sets in.“

The Balameken project of the Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation started in March 2019 in Kyzylorda, where houses for 100 low-income large families were built at the expense of the Foundation. The project continued in Arys after the ammunition explosions in this city in June this year.
