The Bulat Utemuratov Foundation became a founding member of the Global Autism Coalition established at the initiative of the Qatar Foundation, the State of Qatar, and Autism Speaks organization during a high-level meeting in New York held alongside the UN General Assembly.

The Coalition was set up with the support of the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Autism Speaks, and the Qatar Foundation. It brings together leading experts, researchers, government leaders, and representatives of nongovernmental organizations to advance inclusion and improve the quality of life for people with autism worldwide. The creation of the Coalition aims to strengthen the global response to the challenges posed by autism, promote scientific research and innovation, coordinate policy, and strengthen international cooperation and advocacy.

The event was attended by health ministers from several countries, representatives of leading international institutions and organizations, and heads of foundations implementing programs in healthcare and education fields.

Ainur Karbozova, Director of the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation, emphasized the importance of the Foundation’s participation in the initiative:

“We have been implementing the large-scale program “Autism. One World for All” for over ten years, providing support to children with autism and their families across the country. For us, participating in the Global Autism Coalition is an opportunity to contribute Kazakhstan’s experience to the international dialogue and, through joint efforts, accelerate the creation of a more inclusive and equitable society. We are convinced that only by pooling together resources, expertise, and political will can the global community ensure a dignified future for people with autism.”

The Bulat Utemuratov Foundation initiates and partners in a number of social projects in Kazakhstan in the fields of healthcare and education. “Autism. One World for All” program has been implemented since 2015 and aims to develop an effective system of assistance for children with autism. The program focuses on early diagnosis, evidence-based behavioral support, and support for families raising children with autism.

Over the years, 13 Asyl Miras autism centers have opened in 12 cities across the country. The centers operate according to international standards and provide free support based on scientifically proven methods, including applied behavior analysis. All specialists undergo mandatory training and certification. More than 25,000 children and families have received assistance.
