New State-of-the-Art School Opens in Kosshy, Akmola Region

The Bulat Utemuratov Foundation and Verny Capital proudly unveiled the new 1,500-capacity comprehensive school in Kosshy, marking a significant milestone in Kazakhstan’s education sector. This groundbreaking facility, the first in the nation to meet the standards of the National Project “Comfortable School,” caters to the needs of over 3,000 students across two shifts

Built within a year at a total cost of 7.5 billion tenge, the new school was gifted to the Akimat of Akmola region by the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation. This remarkable achievement underscores the foundation’s unwavering commitment to supporting Kazakhstan’s educational development.

“We are deeply grateful to the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation for their unwavering support of education,” expressed Yermek Marzhikpaev, Akim of Akmola region. “This new school will undoubtedly pave the way for our children to reach their full potential and become beacons of talent. Moreover, its establishment has resolved the long-standing issue of three-shift education in Kosshy city.”

Spread across an expansive 17,500 square meters, the state-of-the-art facility boasts a modern architectural design and cutting-edge amenities. Classrooms equipped with interactive media panels foster an engaging learning environment, while well-equipped science, technology, and computer labs stimulate curiosity and innovation.

To cater to the diverse needs of students, the school features a robotics and 3D modeling studio, virtual driving and initial military training rooms, metal and woodworking workshops, and pottery and visual arts workshops. Additionally, sewing and carpentry classes are offered, providing students with hands-on experience in handicrafts.

Comfortable co-working areas on each floor encourage collaboration and relaxation, while a well-stocked library facilitates after-school studies. Two multifunctional sports gyms and a spacious outdoor recreation area, including playgrounds, basketball, volleyball, and football courts, along with table tennis stands, provide ample opportunities for physical activity and sporting pursuits.

Accessibility for children with special needs is seamlessly integrated into the school design, with four elevators ensuring seamless movement throughout the premises. The school’s verdant surroundings, with trees and shrubs adorning the premises, create a tranquil ambiance. A newly laid road and dedicated parking area further enhance the school’s accessibility.
