Bulat Utemuratov Foundation implements the Jas Leader Akademiiasy program, a new stage of which starts in Kyzylorda and Zhambyl regions. In each region, 75 teachers from 25 schools will receive methodological training to help develop the leadership skills of students in grades 5-11. The children will be taught in–demand skills that are not taught at school – these are communication skills, speaking to an audience, planning and time management, self-presentation and self-confidence development.
About 450 graduates of Jas Leader Akademiiasy Program participated in the Forum in Almaty
The Jas Leader Akademiiasy Program was launched by Bulat Utemuratov Foundation in 2021 in 50 schools of the Turkestan Region and the city of Shymkent. Approximately 12.5 thousand students of 5-11 grades studied critical thinking, teamwork, public speaking, and argumentative expression throughout the school year. 450 students, who demonstrated high activity and motivation, became participants of the first Jas Leader Forum in Almaty, which was held in two streams and ended on July 17.
The Green Schools Project has been launched in Nur-Sultan
The Green Schools Project, within the framework of which the year-round greenhouses will be built in 20 secondary schools, has been presented in the capital city. The first greenhouse was presented today to the Nur-Sultan city Akimat. The Project being implemented by the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation is aimed to develop eco-education and careful attitude toward nature. It has successfully proven itself in Almaty schools, where the project participants harvested a total of 1.26 tons over the last school year. The capital city schoolchildren will join the initiative this school year.
The Young Leaders Forum will be held in Almaty in the first half of July and will become a platform for summing up the results of the first year of the Jas Leader Akademiiasy project launched by the Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation. 500 best pupils of comprehensive schools who have made significant progress in the development of social and communication skills over the year will participate in the Forum.
The Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation Provided Aid to Flood Victims to the Amount of 400 million Tenge
More than 4 thousand Kazakhstanis, whose houses had been damaged by floods, received the targeted financial aid within the Aid Card Project.
The Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation presented a project of a new passenger terminal of Korkyt Ata airport. The estimated cost of the project, which is being implemented by the Verny Capital Group, is about USD 25 million. Upon construction completion, the facility will be donated to the communal ownership of the city.
The Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation will build a new school in Kosshy town
To September 1, 2023, a new school for 1,500 students will be opened in Kosshy town of the Akmola Region. The charity project worth about 7.5 billion Tenge is financed by the Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation. Upon completion of construction, the school will be donated to the city.
The Bulat Utemuratov Foundation in cooperation with the Red Crescent of Kazakhstan and ForteBank provided targeted financial assistance to residents affected by rain floods in the Saryagash and Kazygurt districts of Turkestan region. For these purposes, more than 111 million tenge was allocated, on average, each family received 600 thousand tenge.
Over 1,000 people affected by devastating floods received 110 million tenge assistance
The Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation in cooperation with Red Crescent of Kazakhstan and Forte Bank have issued the Aid Cards to people who suffered from the spring floods to the total amount of more than 110 mln tenge. Targeted financial aid has been provided to 224 families to mitigate the consequences of the destructive floods in Aktobe, Pavlodar and Western Kazakhstan regions.
Asyl Miras Autism Center started working in Taraz
A new Asyl Miras autism center has opened in Taraz today to support children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Taraz has become the tenth city in Kazakhstan to have a network of Bulat Utemuratov Foundation autism centers. The center, opened in cooperation with the Akimat of Zhambyl region and located at 47 Askarova St., will be able to accommodate up to 300 children per year.
